Protection when the threat is personal.

Most protection is about strangers. This is about someone you know: a former partner who will not accept the separation, a person who follows, calls and appears, a dispute that has turned from unpleasant to frightening. Lawyers obtain orders and the police respond after the event. What is missing is the part in between: the walk from the car to the door, the school gate, the handover of the children, the court steps, the first night in a new address. That is what Algoz provides, with one licensed close protection officer, female or male as you prefer, and a plan that lets ordinary life continue.

The work is quiet by design. No visible guard, no scene in front of the children or the neighbours, no escalation. The residence and the routine are reviewed and tightened, the officer is present where the risk sits, your phones and your car are checked for tracking, and your lawyer and, where appropriate, the police are kept informed. Tell us the city and what is happening, and we propose the right level, under NDA from the first message.

  • One licensed officer, female or male, who reads as a friend or an assistant
  • Residence, routine, phones and car reviewed in the first days
  • Present at the moments that matter: handovers, school, court, arrivals
  • Works alongside your lawyer and with the police where an order exists
  • Nothing visible to the children or the neighbours
  • If the situation needs more than one officer, we say so
Three levels

Matched to the situation, reviewed as it changes.

Level A

Review and set-up

The first days: the residence assessed and tightened, locks and access changed, phones, vehicle and home checked for tracking, routes and routines varied, numbers programmed, a written plan for you and your lawyer. Many clients need this and an officer on call.

Level B

Present where it matters

Level A plus the officer at the moments the risk actually sits: school runs, custody handovers, court days, lawyer meetings, the first weeks in a new address, nights alone. On call in the city in between.

Level C

Standing protection

For an active stalker, a partner with a history of violence or a situation the police are already involved in: a low-profile officer close to you through the day, the residence covered, a protocol for the moment something changes. Reviewed weekly and reduced as soon as it can be.

What we provide

The pieces that make the in-between safe.

Residence

Locks, access and the night

Who holds keys, what the former partner still has access to, the cameras, the alarm, the garden door, the car park. Reviewed on day one and fixed, with a trusted locksmith and installer under NDA.

Surveillance

Phones, car and home checked

Trackers on the car, spyware on the phone, a shared account still logged in, a camera in the house. Found and dealt with by a licensed specialist. See TSCM bug sweep.

Children

School runs and handovers

A handover that happens in a public place with a capable adult present and leaves no room for an argument. A school gate where the officer is the parent who always came early.

Court

Court days and lawyer meetings

Arrival and departure covered, a car that waits, a route that does not cross the other party, and an officer in the corridor who makes a confrontation not worth attempting.

Movement

A new address, quietly

Moving house without the address travelling with you: unmarked vehicles, a timed move, no forwarding trail, deliveries and staff briefed.

Liaison

Lawyers and police

The officer records what is seen, keeps the log your lawyer may need and liaises with the police where an order exists. Protection does not replace the law; it holds the ground while the law works.

01 —

A female officer, or a male one: your choice

Many women in this situation want another woman close: someone who can be in the house, at the school and in the car without it reading as anything other than a friend, and who understands the situation without being told twice. Others want a visible male presence at the handover and at the court steps, precisely because of how it reads. Both are a standing part of our network, and many clients take both for different moments. See female protection officers.

Female travel protection
02 —

The first fourteen days

The risk is highest in the first weeks after a separation, a move or an order being served, and that is where most of the value of this service sits. The residence is tightened, the car and the phones are checked, the routines are changed in ways only you notice, and the officer is present at the handovers and the arrivals. After that, most clients reduce to an officer on call, with the plan written and the numbers in the phone. See how close protection works.

Travel, holidays and the children

Proceedings do not stop life: there are holidays with the children, trips for work and the long weekend you need. A licensed officer travels with you where the risk follows, handles the airport and the hotel and reads as the family friend who came along. For public figures, the same officer manages the photographer at the gate. See private travel.

Private travel
How it works

Brief, review, presence, and a plan your lawyer has seen.

Step 01

The brief, under NDA

What is happening, where, who is involved and what the lawyers have already done. Held under NDA before a name or an address is shared. You speak to one person.

Step 02

Officer matching

Female or male, the language you are most comfortable in, experience in exactly this kind of situation. You see the profile before anyone is deployed.

Step 03

Residence and routine review

Locks, access, cameras, phones, car, the routes and the routines. Fixed in the first days, with a written plan you and your lawyer keep.

Step 04

Presence where it matters

Handovers, school, court, arrivals, the first nights in a new address. The officer is there, and nowhere else.

Step 05

Record and liaison

What is seen is logged in a form a lawyer can use. Where an order exists, the police are informed through the proper channel.

Step 06

Review and reduce

Reviewed weekly. The level goes down as soon as it can, and up the moment something changes, with one call.

Excellence, Discreetly Delivered

“The order says he may not come within a hundred metres. Somebody still has to be standing at ninety-nine.”

Algoz Group
Indicative cost

What protection during a separation costs.

Review and set-up is quoted as a short assignment: a licensed close protection officer is from EUR 850 per day in Europe, the market base, and from USD 900 per day elsewhere, for twelve-hour cover. Presence at handovers, school and court days is quoted per day or per half day. An officer on call in the city is a monthly arrangement that costs far less than daily cover.

Locks, installers, a vehicle sweep or a residence sweep are quoted separately by the specialist and passed through at cost. Standing protection for an active threat is quoted after the review. You receive one figure before you commit, with no obligation, and we reduce the level as soon as the situation allows.

Protection during separation

Tell us what is happening.

Share the city, the situation and what your lawyer has done so far. We reply with a plan and a figure, under NDA from the first message, and the officer can be female or male as you choose.

Where it applies

The situations clients bring to us.

Separation

A partner who will not let go

Calls, visits, appearances at work or at the school. Presence at the moments it happens and a residence that no longer opens to a key they still have.

Stalking

A person who follows

Someone known or unknown who appears where you are. A review of how they know, a log your lawyer can use, and an officer who makes it not worth continuing.

Custody

Handovers and school

The exchange of children done in public with a capable adult present. The school gate held by someone the children think of as a friend.

Court

Hearings and the steps outside

The day in court covered from the car to the courtroom and back, with a route that never crosses the other party.

Public life

A story in the press

When a separation is news, the photographer at the gate and the message on a public profile are part of the risk. Managed quietly.

Relocation

A new city, a new start

Moving abroad during or after proceedings, with the new residence reviewed before the lease and the first weeks covered.

Good to Know

Separation and Harassment Protection: Frequently Asked Questions

Can I hire a bodyguard during a divorce or separation?

Yes, and the useful version is discreet. Algoz places one licensed close protection officer, female or male as you prefer, who reviews your residence and routine, checks your phones and car for tracking, and is present at the moments the risk actually sits: handovers, school runs, court days, arrivals and the first nights in a new address. Nothing is visible to the children or the neighbours.

Can the officer be a woman?

Yes. Female close protection officers are a standing part of our network, and in this situation many clients prefer one: someone who can be in the house, at the school and in the car reading as a friend. Others prefer a visible male presence at a handover or outside a courtroom. Many take both for different moments. The choice is yours.

How much does protection during a separation cost?

Review and set-up is a short assignment: a licensed officer is from EUR 850 per day in Europe, the market base, and from USD 900 per day elsewhere, for twelve-hour cover. Presence at handovers, school and court days is quoted per day or half day, and an officer on call in the city is a monthly arrangement that costs far less than daily cover. Locks, installers and sweeps are passed through at cost. You receive one figure before you commit.

Does this replace a restraining order or the police?

No, and we are clear about that. Orders are obtained by your lawyer and enforced by the police. What protection provides is the part in between: a capable person present at the moments an order is most likely to be broken, a residence that is actually secure, a log your lawyer can use and a proper channel to the police where an order exists. Protection holds the ground while the law works.

What is a residence and routine review?

In the first days the officer goes through who still holds keys or codes, what the other party can still access, the alarm, the cameras, the garden and the car park, the car and the phones for trackers and spyware, the shared accounts still logged in, and the routes and routines that make you predictable. Each is fixed, with a locksmith and an installer under NDA where needed, and the plan is written down for you and your lawyer.

Can you check my phone and car for tracking?

Yes. Trackers on vehicles, spyware on phones, shared accounts and location sharing that was never switched off, and cameras in the home are found and dealt with by a licensed specialist. Where a device is found it may be evidence, and we document it in a form your lawyer can use. See our TSCM bug sweep page.

How do custody handovers work with an officer?

The exchange happens in a public, agreed place, on time, with a capable adult present who is introduced as a friend or an assistant. There is no room for an argument and nothing for the children to notice. Where a court has set the terms, the officer holds a copy and works from it.

Will the children know?

Not unless you want them to. The officer is the friend who drives, the parent who is always early at the gate, the adult who came along on the holiday. We agree the cover story with you and hold to it.

Can the officer come to court with me?

Yes. The day is covered from the car to the courtroom and back: a route that never crosses the other party, a car that waits, and an officer in the corridor whose presence makes a confrontation not worth attempting. Court security inside the building remains with the court.

What if I am moving house or moving abroad?

Moving during or after proceedings is one of the most exposed moments. The new residence is reviewed before the lease, the move is timed and unmarked so that the address does not travel with you, deliveries and staff are briefed, and the first weeks are covered. Abroad, a licensed partner takes over with the same plan and the same contact.

How quickly can you start?

We ask for at least seven days, which is what it takes to match the right officer and complete the review properly. Where an order has just been served or something has just happened we prioritise the brief and tell you honestly what can be in place and when. Under 48 hours carries an urgency fee and no guarantee, and nobody places a licensed officer in 24 hours.

Why Algoz rather than a local security company?

Because this brief needs someone who understands families, discretion and the law, not just guarding, and because from outside you cannot tell a well-licensed, well-run firm from one that merely says it is. Algoz has already done that selection, matches the officer to you, puts everyone under NDA, keeps the children out of it and gives you one responsible contact in your own language.

A Trusted Single Point of Contact

Close protection, handled by one accountable team in London.

Principals and the people who plan for them - executive assistants, personal assistants, chiefs of staff, family offices and the agencies and producers who book on a client’s behalf - brief Algoz once and we coordinate the rest. We speak the operational language of security leads and the discretion language of private offices, so nothing is lost in translation between the two.

Every detail in London is delivered by accredited, locally licensed close protection officers (male and female), armoured transport where the threat picture warrants it, and 24/7 operations - coordinated and quality-controlled by Algoz under NDA. UHNWI and HNWI principals, royal and family offices, executives, celebrities and public figures rely on Algoz as a credible, trustworthy first call.
