TSCM Bug Sweep
Sweep the suite before you say anything in it.
A hotel suite, a rented villa, a boardroom, a car collected at the airport. You do not control who was in them before you, and in 2026 a camera is the size of a screw head, a microphone sits inside a phone charger and a tracker clips under a bumper in the time it takes to park. Executives, families in the public eye and anyone negotiating something that matters have the room swept before they move in, and Algoz arranges it as part of the arrival rather than as an afterthought.
A licensed TSCM specialist inspects the space with the proper equipment, radio spectrum, non-linear junction detection, thermal and physical inspection, and an audit of what is on the Wi-Fi, then hands you a written finding before you check in. Tell us the address and the arrival time.
- A licensed TSCM specialist with professional equipment, not a handheld detector
- Swept before arrival, so that nothing is said in an unswept room
- Suites, villas, offices, vehicles, yachts and aircraft cabins
- Written findings, and the device removed or left in place on your instruction
- Combined with advance positioning and close protection where you have them
- If a space cannot be swept properly in the time available, we say so
Everywhere a conversation or a routine can be captured.
Suites and connecting rooms
Bedroom, sitting room, bathroom, terrace, the phone, the television, the chargers and the smart devices the hotel installed. Swept between housekeeping and your arrival.
Villas, chalets and apartments
Rented for a season or owned and left empty: every room, the Wi-Fi, the smart home system, the staff areas, the garage and the perimeter cameras that may be pointing the wrong way.
Boardrooms and private dining rooms
The room where the deal is discussed, the day before and the morning of, with the room then held until the meeting begins.
Cars, trackers and telematics
GPS trackers, hidden recorders and the manufacturer's own telematics on a car collected from a rental desk, a dealer or a driver you did not choose.
Yacht and aircraft cabins
A chartered yacht or a leased aircraft cabin, where the previous charter and the crew are unknowns. Swept at the berth or on the apron before boarding.
Wi-Fi, networks and rogue devices
What is actually connected to the network you are about to use, which devices in the room talk to the internet, and what to switch off before the first call.
A proper sweep, not a gadget.
Licensed and equipped
A TSCM professional with spectrum analysis, non-linear junction detection, thermal imaging and physical inspection, licensed where the work is done and under NDA.
Between housekeeping and arrival
The sweep is timed so that the room is held clean afterwards: swept, then sealed or watched until you walk in.
A written report
What was checked, what was found, what was done about it. Photographs where relevant. Yours to keep and to show a lawyer if it comes to that.
Remove, or leave in place
Finding a device is sometimes the beginning of a legal matter, not the end of a security one. We tell you what was found and act on your instruction.
With advance positioning
Where Algoz runs your advance work, the sweep is one item on the same checklist as the route, the floor plan and the driver. See advance positioning.
Nobody told
The hotel is told what it must be told and no more. Staff see a technician, if they see anyone. The report goes to you and to no one else.
Hotel suites: the most common sweep
The hotel suite is where most people say the things they would not say in an office, and it is a room that dozens of people have had keys to. Before a negotiation, a board week, a legal matter or a private stay, the suite is swept once, between housekeeping and your arrival, and held clean afterwards. In practice this is a few hours of specialist work, scheduled so that you never wait in the lobby. See how we handle secrecy.
Secrecy as a serviceVillas, chalets and the long stay
A villa rented for the summer, a chalet for the season, an apartment kept for a few weeks a year. These are the spaces where a family relaxes, and where smart televisions, cameras installed by a previous tenant, a baby monitor nobody remembers and a Wi-Fi network with unknown devices on it live quietly. Swept at the start of the stay, and again after any contractor has been in. See villas and property.
Villas and propertyCars, boardrooms and the deal itself
A car you did not choose can carry a tracker, a recorder or telematics reporting to someone else. A boardroom you borrowed can carry anything. Before a negotiation, the room and the vehicles are swept the day before and held, and the people in the room are briefed on what to leave outside: phones, smart watches, the assistant who did not need to be there. See executive transportation.
Executive transportationAddress, timing, sweep, report.
The brief, under NDA
Where, when you arrive, what the space is used for and what worries you. Held under NDA before a name or an address is shared.
The specialist
A licensed TSCM professional is named for the city. Where the timing is tight we say so, because this is the scarcest skill in the industry and we do not send a gadget in place of a professional.
Access and timing
The sweep is scheduled with the hotel, the agent or the household between the last housekeeping and your arrival, with the minimum people told.
The sweep
Radio spectrum, non-linear junction detection, thermal imaging, physical inspection of fittings, furniture and fixtures, and an audit of the network and the connected devices.
Held clean
Once swept, the room is sealed or watched until you walk in, so that the finding still means something an hour later.
The report
A written finding, photographs where relevant, and the device removed or left in place on your instruction. Then nothing further is said about it to anyone.
“The expensive conversation is not the one you had in the boardroom. It is the one you had in the suite afterwards.”
What a TSCM sweep costs.
A sweep is quoted against the space: a hotel suite, a villa with its outbuildings, a boardroom and its anterooms, a vehicle, a yacht. The variables are the size, the number of rooms and connected devices, the city and how much notice we have, because a licensed TSCM specialist is the scarcest professional in private security and the good ones are booked. You receive one figure before anything is scheduled, with no obligation.
Where the sweep is part of a protection assignment it is quoted on the same brief as the officers and the advance work, which is usually the better route. See advance positioning and how our close protection works.
Tell us the address and the arrival time.
Share the space, the city and when you walk in. We name the specialist, confirm the timing and send one figure, under NDA from the first message.

The week of the deal
Suite, boardroom and vehicles swept the day before and held. The people in the room briefed on what stays outside.
A family in the news
When a divorce, a dispute or a story is running, the suite and the residence are where the next story is captured. See separation and harassment protection.
During proceedings
A sweep before privileged conversations, with a report a lawyer can use. Devices found are evidence, and we treat them that way.
The villa for the summer
Swept at the start of the stay and after any contractor, with the smart home and the Wi-Fi audited for devices nobody remembers installing.
Arriving in a new country
Suites in cities where surveillance of visitors is routine. Swept before arrival as part of the advance work.
Cars you did not choose
Rental, dealer and driver-supplied vehicles swept for trackers and recorders before the principal gets in.
