Security for Government Officials and Delegations Abroad
Official protection covers the head of state. It rarely covers everyone else.
A head of state abroad travels with their own security and the host country's. A minister, a governor, a senator or a party leader usually does not, and neither does the delegation around them, the family that comes along or the private part of the agenda. That is where incidents happen: an airport hall, a hotel lobby, a restaurant, a protest outside the venue, a phone filming within inches.
Algoz plans the trip as a protected movement. We work with the official detail where there is one, never in place of it, and we cover what it does not.
- Advance work in the city before arrival: routes, hotel, venues, hospitals, alternatives
- Risk assessment that includes protests, the diaspora and social media, not only crime
- Liaison with the embassy or consulate and, where appropriate, the host authorities
- Licensed local officers and trained drivers, armed only where the law allows
- Families and private agendas covered as carefully as the official programme
- No names, no photographs, no posts: NDA for every officer and driver
What offices of public officials ask first.
Does Algoz replace official protection?
No. Where a head of state travels with their own service, or the host country provides a detail, we work alongside it and take what it does not cover: the wider delegation, the family, the private programme, the vehicles and the logistics.
Who carries out the work
Licensed officers in each country, under our coordination and our standards. Armed protection only where the local law allows it, with at least 30 days for authorisation, which may be refused.
Do you take sides?
No. We protect officials from every party with the same discretion, and we never comment on any client, past or present.
How much notice
We ask for at least seven days. Summit weeks fill early in New York, Washington, Davos and Paris; tell us as soon as the trip is confirmed. Under 48 hours carries an urgency fee and no guarantee.
How it is priced
Quoted to the agenda: officers, drivers, vehicles, advance work and days. A single officer starts from EUR 850 per day in Europe (EUR 950 in France, Italy, Spain and Portugal) and USD 900 in the United States and the Gulf.
Who knows
The chief of staff, the head of the office or the protocol officer you name. Nothing in writing names the official where it does not need to.
The trip, protected from the first meeting to the flight home.
Advance Work and Risk Assessment
An officer in the city before the delegation: routes, hotels, venues, hospitals and the protest calendar, with a written plan.
Protective Drivers and Vehicles
Trained drivers, the right vehicles for the city, armoured where the risk and the law call for it, timed to the agenda.
Close Protection Officers
One officer for a minister on a working visit, a team for a delegation, scaled to the risk and not to appearances.
Hotel and Suite Security
Floor and suite arrangements with the hotel, technical sweeps of the suite and meeting rooms when the agenda is sensitive.
Families and Private Agendas
The spouse's programme, the children's day, the private dinner: covered with the same care as the official meeting.
Embassy and Host Liaison
Coordination with the embassy or consulate, the venue security and, where appropriate, the host authorities.
Ministers, governors and parliamentarians: the gap between official and private
Most officials who travel abroad have no full protection detail. They land in a commercial terminal, cross an arrival hall full of travellers from their own country with phones in their hands, and stay in hotels whose lobbies are public. In a polarised political moment, a hostile encounter at an airport or a restaurant can be filmed and published within minutes, and that has happened to officials of several countries, as a matter of public record. We close that gap: an officer and a driver who meet the official at the aircraft, an agreed route through the airport, a hotel arrangement that avoids the lobby, and an agenda planned so that the predictable moments are not the exposed ones.
High-profile close protectionSummit weeks: New York in September, Davos in January, Washington in April and October
The UN General Assembly in New York, the World Economic Forum in Davos, the IMF and World Bank meetings in Washington and the climate summits fill every hotel, every car and every road at once, and close streets without warning. Delegations that arrive without a plan lose hours in traffic and stand in queues with the press. We plan summit weeks months ahead: hotels near the venue, cars booked early, drivers who know the closures, and an officer who walks the venue before the delegation does.
Bodyguard in New YorkWorking alongside an official detail
When a head of state or a senior minister travels with official protection, the detail protects the principal and the host country protects the visit. Everyone else around them, the advisers, the family, the business delegation, the journalists who travel with the party, falls outside that cover. We coordinate with the official team through the chief of staff or the protocol office and take the parts it hands over: the vehicles for the wider delegation, the family's programme, the hotel floors, the private agenda after the official day ends. We never compete with the official detail, and we never act without its knowledge.
Executive protection in WashingtonConfidentiality is the service
Public officials have more to lose from a leak than from almost any incident. Our officers and drivers sign NDAs for every trip, carry no personal phones on post where the client prefers, never post, never photograph, and never discuss a client, past or present, with anyone. Itineraries travel by encrypted message to the people who need them and no one else. We do not name clients and we never will, which is the entire point of the discipline.

The brief
Cities, dates, the size of the delegation and the official cover already in place, from the chief of staff or the protocol office.
The plan
A written plan and one figure: officers, drivers, vehicles, advance days and what we take from the official detail.
Advance
An officer in the city before arrival: routes, hotel, venues, hospitals and the protest calendar checked on the ground.
The trip
Met at the aircraft, every movement timed, the family and the private agenda covered, one coordinator throughout.
“The best official trip is the one nobody outside the delegation remembers.”
What protection for an official trip costs.
Every trip is quoted to the agenda: the number of officers and drivers, the vehicles, the advance days and the cities. A minister's two-day working visit and a delegation's summit week are different figures, both confirmed in writing before anything is booked.
A single protection officer starts from EUR 850 per day in Europe, EUR 950 in France, Italy, Spain and Portugal, and USD 900 per day in the United States and the Gulf, on twelve-hour cover. Armed protection, where the law allows it, is above the base and needs at least 30 days for authorisation. Under 48 hours' notice carries an urgency fee and no guarantee.
Send the cities, the dates and the size of the delegation.
From the chief of staff, the protocol office or the official directly. We reply with a plan and one figure within 24 hours; members and known clients hear back sooner. Confidential from the first message.
