Is it legal?
Yes. Private security in Indonesia is regulated by the National Police: security companies hold a police licence, their guards are trained and registered under the national guard regulations, and the police supervise the sector. Algoz coordinates only within that framework.

Why protection in Bali must be licensed.
Private security in Indonesia is regulated by the Indonesian National Police (POLRI). A company that provides guarding services must hold an operating licence as a security services business (BUJP) issued by the police, and its guards must complete the national guard training and be registered under the police regulations on security guards. Private security guards may not carry firearms, and armed protection is not a private service in Indonesia. An unlicensed individual cannot lawfully provide protective services for hire, and a bodyguard brought from Japan, Australia or the Gulf cannot simply work here; engaging outside the licensed framework exposes a principal to legal and immigration risk and voids meaningful liability cover.
