Hand-Carry Courier
A courier for things that should never go in a van.
A watch collected from a Geneva manufacture, a necklace going back to the Place Vendôme house for a repair, a signed contract that must be in Dubai by evening, the keys to a villa, a hard drive, a small painting bought at auction in London. These are not shipments. They are objects that need to travel in the hand of one person who knows what they are holding, who never puts them down and who signs them over only to the name you gave us.
Algoz places a licensed close protection officer as the carrier. The item is packed and sealed in front of you or your representative, it travels in the cabin on the officer's person or in sight, the journey is planned like a protection movement rather than a delivery round, and it is released at the far end against a signature. Tell us what moves, from where and by when.
- A licensed protection officer carries, not a courier company
- Sealed in front of a witness, released against a named signature
- Cabin travel, in sight at all times, never checked in
- Route planned like a protection movement, timed to flights and openings
- Declared value, insurance and customs agreed in writing before departure
- If an item cannot travel lawfully as hand luggage, we say so
Small, valuable, and personal.
Collections, repairs and deliveries
From the manufacture to your wrist, from your safe to the service centre and back. Geneva, Le Locle, Zurich, London, Paris, Dubai, Hong Kong and New York are the usual pairs.
Pieces, parures and stones
A piece worn once at a wedding abroad, a parure going to a valuation, stones travelling to a setter. Carried on the person, declared correctly, never in a bag that leaves the officer's hand.
Works that fit in a case
Drawings, small canvases, photographs, manuscripts, ceramics and collectables bought at auction or lent to an exhibition, carried in the cabin with the condition report and the paperwork.
Contracts, passports and originals
Signed originals, title deeds, passports and visas, notarised papers. The journeys where a scan is not enough and a courier company is not trusted.
Access and data
Keys to a residence or a yacht, hardware wallets, encrypted drives, a phone that must reach someone without passing through anyone else.
When it is more than a case
Collections, luggage sets and crated works travel under our asset transportation arrangements, with a vehicle and a team rather than a single carrier.
The journey, handled as a protection movement.
A licensed officer
The person carrying your item is a vetted close protection officer under NDA, not a driver with a sack. You know the name before departure.
Chain of custody in writing
Sealed and photographed at collection, logged at every stage, signed for at delivery. You receive the record.
Route and timing
Flights, trains and cars chosen for the item, not for convenience: direct routes, cabin seats, arrival inside opening hours, a vehicle waiting rather than a taxi queue.
Customs and declarations
Carnets, temporary admission, export licences for art, declarations for jewellery and watches. Agreed before departure so that the item is never held at a border.
Insurance and value
Declared value and insurance are confirmed in writing before the journey, under your policy or one arranged for the movement. Nothing travels uninsured.
Nobody knows
Unmarked, unbranded, unannounced. The officer dresses for the cabin and the boutique. Suppliers at either end are told only what they must.
Geneva, Zurich and the watch circuit
Switzerland is where most hand-carry journeys begin: a watch collected at the manufacture, a piece returned for service, a collection moving between a vault in Geneva and a residence in London or Dubai. Officers are licensed in the canton, know the airports and the boutiques, and understand the paperwork that Swiss export requires. See Geneva and Zurich.
Protection in GenevaLondon, Paris and the auction and jewellery houses
Bond Street, Place Vendôme, the auction rooms of London and Paris, the restorers and the setters. A purchase that must reach a residence the same evening, a piece lent to an exhibition, a lot collected after a sale. The officer carries from the saleroom to your door with the condition report and the paperwork. See London and Paris.
Protection in LondonDubai, Hong Kong and New York
The long-haul legs: a watch for a client in Dubai, stones travelling to Hong Kong, documents that must be signed in New York by the close of business. Direct flights, cabin seats, customs cleared in advance and a licensed partner waiting at the far end when the delivery address needs cover of its own. See Dubai and New York.
Protection in DubaiBrief, paperwork, one hand, one signature.
The brief, under NDA
What the item is, its value, where it is, where it must be and by when. Held under NDA before anything else is discussed.
Lawful and insurable
We confirm the item can travel as hand luggage on that route, what customs requires and how it is insured. If it cannot travel lawfully in the cabin, we say so and propose the alternative.
The officer and the route
A licensed officer is named, the route is planned around flights, trains and opening hours, and the vehicle at each end is booked.
Collection and sealing
Packed and sealed in front of you or your representative, photographed, logged. From this point the item does not leave the officer's person or sight.
The journey
Cabin seat, direct route, no connections where one can be avoided, a car waiting. You receive confirmation at departure and at arrival.
Delivery and signature
Released only to the name you gave us, against a signature and an identity check. The chain-of-custody record is yours.
“A courier moves parcels. An officer moves the one thing you would not trust to a parcel.”
What a protected hand-carry costs.
A hand-carry is quoted per journey: the officer at the close protection day rate, from EUR 850 per day in Europe, the market base, and from USD 900 per day elsewhere, plus the officer's travel at cost, which for a same-day Geneva to London or Paris to Milan journey is a cabin seat and two cars. Intercontinental journeys are quoted with the return leg and any overnight included.
Insurance for the movement, customs fees and any export licence are passed through at cost and agreed before departure. You receive one figure before anything is booked, with no obligation, and we will tell you when a standard insured courier is the honest answer for a lower-value item.
Tell us what moves, and by when.
Share the item, the two addresses and the deadline. We confirm whether it can travel lawfully in the cabin, name the officer and send one figure, under NDA from the first message.
