The island of eternal spring
Tenerife holds one of the kindest climates on earth: twenty-something degrees in January, ocean air, and micro-climates that change with every ridge, banana coast in the north, desert light in the south, cloud forest above. It is why northern European families winter here and why the island rewards a car, a driver and no fixed plan. We arrange exactly that: chauffeured and self-drive touring on the empty volcanic roads, picnics positioned ahead of you, and days that follow the weather rather than a schedule.
Teide, above the clouds
Spain’s highest peak rises from a lunar caldera so vast it silences conversation. We take principals up before dawn, when the road belongs to you and the sunrise breaks over a sea of cloud, arrange permits for the summit path that most visitors never obtain, and return after dark for private stargazing beside the Teide Observatory under some of the clearest certified skies in the world. A picnic at 2,000 metres, an astronomer who speaks your language, and not another soul in sight.
Beaches & wild nature
The archipelago runs from golden crescents at Playa del Duque to jet-black volcanic sand under banana palms, and behind the beaches lies a wilder island entirely: the ancient laurel forests of Anaga, a UNESCO biosphere older than the Mediterranean’s history, and cliff coastlines that drop six hundred metres into the Atlantic. We pair beach days with the island’s nature at its emptiest: private 4x4 routes, forest walks with naturalists, and lunches in fishing villages where the day’s catch decides the menu.

The Canaries still keep secrets, coves reached only by boat or by paths the signs do not mention: Benijo at sunset with the roques black against the light, Diego Hernández’s white bowl above the Duque cliffs, lava pools that fill with clear Atlantic water at low tide. There is nowhere else quite like this on the planet: subtropical valleys of palm and banana rising out of the open Atlantic, a thousand kilometres from the nearest continent’s weather, on European soil. That mid-ocean remove is precisely the point. The islands are far enough that the world lets go of you, and close enough that it cannot claim you are gone: EU jurisdiction, first-class private healthcare, fibre to the villa and a runway that takes anything you fly. Carnival, fiestas & island culture
For two weeks each February, Santa Cruz stages the greatest carnival outside Rio: murgas and comparsas, a Carnival Queen gala of costumes weighing more than their wearers, and half a million people dancing in the streets. We arrange it from the right side of the barrier: gala seats and private balconies over the parades, entry to the parties that do not sell tickets, and security that lets a recognisable family stand in a crowd of half a million at perfect ease. Beyond February, the romerías, the wine harvests and the island’s saints’ days carry the same living culture all year.
Local guides, adventure & deep history
The best of the Canaries does not announce itself; it has to be shown. We pair principals with the islands’ finest private guides: mountain leaders for the Masca gorge and the high traverses, historians who read the landscape back to the Guanches, the pre-Hispanic people who lived in these volcanoes for two thousand years, and locals who know which village bodega opens its barrels for guests. Whales, dolphins & the open Atlantic
The strait between Tenerife and La Gomera is one of the great marine mammal waters of the world, the first in Europe certified as a Whale Heritage Site: hundreds of pilot whales live here permanently, joined through the year by bottlenose dolphins, sperm whales and orcas on passage. We charter private yachts and sailing catamarans with marine biologists aboard, respecting the strictest approach standards, so a family breakfasts at anchor while whales rest a respectful distance off the beam. No queues, no crowded decks, just the animals and the ocean.
Turtles, reefs & life underwater
Below the surface the islands stay busy: green turtles gliding over volcanic reefs, rays over the sand, shoals working the drop-offs where the seabed plunges toward the abyssal Atlantic. We arrange it privately at every level of ambition, guided snorkelling from your own tender, PADI instruction and guided scuba on the island’s best walls and wrecks, and freediving coaching in water with thirty-metre visibility. Boats, instructors and equipment are all vetted, insured and exclusively yours for the day.

The islands’ finest addresses hide in plain sight: cliff villas terraced into the hillside with infinity pools over the strait, estates inside Abama’s guarded green resort, penthouses above Playa del Duque, and country haciendas among the vines of the north.
