How Algoz Compares
Most comparisons in this industry compare different things.
Clients evaluating protection partners routinely place four completely different business models side by side and try to choose between them on price. A global guarding group, a corporate risk consultancy, a local agency in one city and an international private-client coordinator are not competitors in any meaningful sense: they are built for different buyers, priced on different logic, and measured on different outcomes.
This page is not neutral, and we will not pretend otherwise: it is written by Algoz, about Algoz. What we can offer is accuracy. Below is a fair description of the firms and categories we are most often measured against, what each is genuinely excellent at, where we differ and, at the end, the situations in which you should engage one of them rather than us.
Algoz FZ-LLC is licensed solely as a Services Coordinator, Businessmen Services, Lifestyle Development Consultancy, Destination Management, and Retail Sale of Travel and Entertainment Services by RAKEZ (License 5033995 | TRN 105119056700001). We do not directly provide armed or unarmed security, bodyguard or close-protection services. All operational execution is performed exclusively by licensed third-party partners who hold the necessary local permits (e.g. SIRA in Dubai, PSBD in Abu Dhabi, SIA in the United Kingdom, or equivalent foreign authorities). Clients are responsible for obtaining any required approvals. Armed services require a minimum 30-day lead time for authorisation, which may be refused. All activities comply with UAE laws and RAKEZ regulations.
Memberships sell access. We run programmes.
On the lifestyle side, clients most often weigh Algoz against the great membership concierge houses. They are impressive businesses, and for the right client the right answer. The structural difference is the instrument itself: a membership prices access (a request line, reservations, invitations), while an Algoz engagement prices operational accountability: one senior team that plans the reservation, the route, the vehicle and the protection as a single decision, and answers personally for all of it. Algoz concierge is the lifestyle half of an operational programme: the same team that books the table has vetted the route to it, positioned the car, and briefed the officer at the door.
Quintessentially
The best-known luxury concierge membership in the world, with a global network and deep access across events, hospitality and travel. For a member who wants doors opened across many cities, the brand earns its reputation. Security, however, sits outside the membership model. For principals whose life requires it, that is the decisive difference.
Knightsbridge Circle
A deliberately small, ultra-high-end membership known for remarkable access at the very top of the market. Within its lane of rarefied lifestyle requests for a select member list, it is excellent. It is a lifestyle house, not an operational one; movements, vehicles and protection are not the product.
John Paul
One of the largest concierge platforms in the world, operating within the Accor group and serving brands, hotels and their customers at scale. Formidable infrastructure, but the client is frequently the institution, with the individual served through a programme rather than known personally by the team.
Ten Lifestyle
A listed lifestyle-management group delivering concierge benefits for private banks and premium card programmes worldwide. Excellent at consistent, high-volume service across millions of eligible members: the structural opposite of a house built around a small number of named families.
Velocity Black
The app-first concierge that proved chat-speed fulfilment could feel luxurious, now part of a major card issuer’s premium offering. Fast and polished for restaurants, events and experiences. Like every digital-first model, though, it is built for transactions rather than for running a family’s movements on the ground.
Sienna Charles
A respected boutique serving a very short list of prominent American clients with high-touch travel and lifestyle design. Closest in spirit to Algoz on the lifestyle side. The difference is the operational layer: integrated protection, secure transport and a permanent on-the-ground network are not part of the boutique travel model.

The security firms we are measured against.
The descriptions below reflect each firm’s well-known public positioning. We have no interest in misrepresenting them; several are excellent organisations doing work we would not attempt, and a client with those requirements is better served by them than by us.
GardaWorld
One of the largest privately owned security employers in the world, with vast manned-guarding, cash-services and screening operations across many countries. If your requirement is guarding personnel at scale across multiple fixed sites, that scale is a genuine advantage and we would not pretend to match it.
Pinkerton
More than 170 years of heritage in corporate risk management, investigations and embedded enterprise risk programmes. For a corporation seeking a long-term risk function woven into its own operations, that depth of institutional practice is difficult to replicate.
Control Risks
A reference name in country-risk intelligence, political-risk advisory and corporate crisis management. Organisations that need structured intelligence products and duty-of-care frameworks for a global workforce are precisely who this model was designed for.
Gavin de Becker & Associates
A highly regarded United States practice known for behavioural threat assessment, particularly around public figures and persistent-threat cases. Where the central problem is analysing a specific individual threat, that discipline is a specialism in its own right.
Infinite Risks International
A Netherlands-based executive protection firm drawing on former Dutch specialist military and police backgrounds, active in international travel protection: the category closest to our own, and a serious operator within it.
Agencies in a Single City
Every destination has capable local agencies with real local knowledge and the lowest price. The difficulty is never the good ones; it is that a client abroad cannot tell them from the rest, and accountability ends at the city limit.
From private principals to great enterprises
The large security groups and risk consultancies are, structurally, business-to-business firms: their frameworks organise around a corporation’s duty of care to a workforce. But a family is not a workforce. A teenager leaving a restaurant separately, a discreet hotel arrival, a preference for no visible presence at dinner: these do not appear in a duty-of-care matrix, and they are the whole job for us. The same architecture then scales upward without strain: a touring artist’s full entourage, a board travelling together, a royal court in season, a delegation of any size. We are built around the person, and there can be as many of them as the engagement requires.
Protection and lifestyle are one programme, not two vendors
The most common failure we are called in to repair is a fractured one: a travel agent books the hotel, a concierge books the table, a local firm supplies the officers, a chauffeur company supplies the car, and nobody owns the seam between them. The principal’s assistant becomes an unpaid operations centre. We run close protection, secure transportation and concierge as a single coordinated programme, because in private-client work the reservation and the route are the same decision.
The standard travels with the principal
Our clients move. A season may run London, the Riviera, Sardinia, Dubai and São Paulo, and the value we add is that the standard does not change between them. We hold vetted licensed partners in each destination and remain the single accountable relationship across all of them, so the principal is never re-explaining preferences to a new firm in a new country. See where we operate.
One senior contact, day and night
When you call Algoz, you reach a senior member of the firm who already knows you: not a call centre, not an account manager, not a ticket number. The person who planned your programme is the person who answers when it changes: a flight moved, a table for ten instead of four, an extra city added at midnight. Large firms route you through layers; we removed the layers. One name, one number, and it works at three in the afternoon and at three in the morning.
We learn each client before we serve them
Every engagement begins with understanding, not logistics. Before the first car is booked, we build a complete picture of the principal and everyone travelling with them: how they like to move, where they like to sit, what they eat and what they avoid, which languages the family speaks, how visible they want security to be, or whether they want it felt but never seen. The same discipline behind our protection profiling is applied to comfort: preferences are recorded once, kept current, and travel with the client to every city. A VIP should never have to explain the same requirement twice. With us, they don’t.
La Légion: many nations, one training, everywhere on earth
The French Foreign Legion is unique among elite formations: it recruits from every corner of the world, forges men of dozens of nationalities through one of the hardest selections in existence, and releases them, years later, back into their own countries and languages, permanently bound to each other by the same training and the same spirit of camaraderie. For Algoz, that history is not romance; it is infrastructure.
Wherever a client lands, the circle is rarely more than one call away: already local, already fluent, already trusted, and made by the same school whether the man is in São Paulo or Dubai. Men who trusted each other with their lives vouch for each other for life: a vetting standard, and a culture of silence, that no background check or NDA can reproduce. The same instinct runs through our approach to privacy in a digital era.
Why private individuals choose Algoz.
Everything above reduces to one fact: every firm we are compared against was built for a different customer: a corporation, an institution, a membership base. Algoz was built, from the first day, around the private individual. That design decision explains each advantage below, and it puts no ceiling on scale. The same programme runs for one principal or for a delegation of dozens, a family office or an entire leadership team; the only difference is how many of us you meet.
Built around the person, at any scale
The unit of our service is always a person, never a contract number, whether the engagement is one principal, a family and household, a royal court, a touring entourage or a corporation’s full leadership. Private-client care, with no ceiling on what it can carry.
Everything under one accountable team
Protection, chauffeured and armoured transport, aviation, villas, reservations, events: planned together, delivered together, answered for by one senior contact who already knows your preferences. Your assistant briefs once.
The same standard in every city
London to the Riviera to Dubai to São Paulo: vetted, licensed local partners in each destination, one relationship across all of them. The principal never starts over with a stranger.
Trust that cannot be recruited
The Legion inner circle gives Algoz vetted, brother-tested capability across security, travel, sport and hospitality: a network held together by shared history, not contracts.
Discretion as culture
NDA-backed, OPSEC-aware planning, and a network whose instinct is silence. No name-dropping, no case studies with your name in them, no leaks. Ever.
Built for international lives
Service in English, French, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Russian and Arabic; engagements in AED, USD, EUR or GBP, and membership by invitation for principals who want the whole capability permanently on call.

When you should not choose Algoz.
We would rather be precise about our shape than pretend to be everything. Three requirements sit outside our direct model. Even for those, one call to Algoz still solves the problem, because we introduce you to the top-tier firms who do exactly that.
Manned guarding at scale
Multiple offices, warehouses, retail estates or campuses staffed around the clock is a volume-contracting discipline. The large guarding groups are built for it, and we know which of them to put in front of you.
An embedded corporate risk function
A permanent risk programme inside your organisation (policy, governance, employee travel compliance) is a corporate risk consultancy’s home ground. We will tell you so, and make the introduction.
The lowest price
We are not the cheapest option in any market, and we do not try to be. If price is the deciding criterion, we will lose that comparison, and say so upfront.
We open the right door anyway
For the requirements above, and any service outside our direct offering, Algoz maintains partnerships with top-tier firms across security, risk and corporate services. We recommend, introduce and, where wanted, coordinate the relationship. Clients come to us first because whatever the problem, the answer starts with the same call.
The internationally mobile private client
Planning and accompanying principals and families across borders is the heart of what Algoz does, every week of the year: any country, one standard, one senior contact, protection and daily life planned by the same people.
The settled principal, one city
A family established permanently in one place (residence, household, daily movements, standing security and lifestyle running quietly in the background) is served by the same programme, without the travel. Permanence is not an exception to our model; it is one of its forms.
Ask us what we cannot do.
The fastest way to evaluate any provider, including this one, is to ask where their model breaks. We will answer that question honestly, and tell you if you would be better served elsewhere.
