Luxury Concierge in India

Palace, boardroom and coast, held on one brief.
A Continent With One Passport

India rewards preparation and punishes improvisation.

A single fortnight in India can hold a suite in a working palace above Lake Pichola, a board meeting in Bandra Kurla Complex, a domestic flight into a state capital and a wedding of eight hundred guests. Each of those worlds keeps its own rules, its own gatekeepers and its own idea of what reasonable notice means. Algoz runs the country as one programme, with a single senior contact holding the diary from the first enquiry to the last departure.

Palace suites and private residences, security-trained drivers, scheduled and private aviation, priority access to monuments, tables and festivals, and licensed close protection where a principal’s profile calls for it: planned together under NDA, rather than assembled from separate suppliers after arrival. India sits inside our wider South Asia coverage, so a brief carries into Sri Lanka, Nepal or Bhutan without being written twice.

01 —

Rajasthan — the palace circuit

Nowhere else does hotel-keeping reach this register. The Rambagh Palace in Jaipur, Umaid Bhawan Palace above Jodhpur and the Taj Lake Palace on Lake Pichola in Udaipur are working palaces as much as hotels, still part-occupied by the families who built them, and the right suite in the right week is a negotiation rather than a booking. The Oberoi houses, from Rajvilas outside Jaipur to Udaivilas across the lake, hold the other half of the state’s best rooms.

Around the hotels we build the rest: private viewings of the Amber Fort before the coaches arrive, tented camps at the edge of Ranthambore for tiger tracking, the blue lanes of Jodhpur walked with a historian rather than a guidebook, block-printing and jewellery ateliers opened privately, and a car with a security-trained driver on every leg between cities. Rajasthan’s season runs from October to March, and the best rooms are held long before it opens.

02 —

Mumbai — the commercial capital

Mumbai runs on proximity and on time. We hold suites at the Taj Mahal Palace above the Gateway of India and at the Oberoi on Nariman Point, and we plan the day around traffic rather than against it: the Sea Link before the peak, Bandra Kurla Complex for the boardrooms and the banks, South Mumbai for the older addresses, Worli and Lower Parel for the newer ones.

Evenings are the part visitors get wrong. The tables that matter are small, booked weeks ahead and frequently private, the film and finance worlds overlap on the same guest lists, and an arrival handled badly is noticed. We arrange the reservations, the introductions and the transport between them, with close protection in Mumbai for principals whose profile requires it. Airport handling covers both terminals and the general-aviation side, with luggage moved separately so nobody waits.

03 —

New Delhi — protocol and the diplomatic quarter

Delhi is the political capital and behaves like one. Movements around Chanakyapuri and the government quarter are protocol-sensitive, road closures follow the diary of the state rather than yours, and the difference between a productive week and a wasted one is usually the person who knew which door to use. We work from the hotels of Lutyens’ Delhi, run the ministries-and-embassies day with drivers who understand the perimeter, and keep the schedule realistic about distance.

Beyond the working agenda: Old Delhi at dawn before Chandni Chowk wakes, Humayun’s Tomb and the Qutb Minar with a proper historian, the Agra run for the Taj Mahal timed to sunrise and returned by lunch, and gallery and design appointments in Hauz Khas and Lado Sarai. Protective drivers and officers in New Delhi are arranged for executive and family visits alike.

04 —

Kerala & Goa — the coast, at a slower pace

The south is where an Indian itinerary exhales. In Kerala the backwaters around Alleppey and Kumarakom are taken privately, by chartered houseboat rather than in convoy; the tea and spice hills of Munnar sit three hours above the coast; Fort Kochi keeps its Portuguese, Dutch and Jewish layers within a few streets; and the ayurvedic houses along the Malabar coast run genuine multi-week programmes rather than spa menus.

Goa divides cleanly. The north is loud and always has been. The south, from Cavelossim down, is where the private villas and the quieter houses sit, and where families take a compound with staff for a fortnight over Christmas. We handle the villa search, staffing, provisioning, boats and the drive down from Dabolim, and we keep protection low-profile to the point of invisibility, because nothing spoils a beach house faster than an obvious detail at the gate.

05 —

The wedding season — India at full volume

From late autumn through winter the country turns over to weddings, and the calendar tightens around them. Palaces in Udaipur and Jodhpur are taken whole, hotel inventory in Jaipur disappears months ahead, domestic aviation fills, and the good drivers, florists and lighting crews are booked by the season rather than the day. Auspicious dates concentrate demand into a handful of weeks, which is why late enquiries so often meet a closed market.

Algoz does not replace the wedding planner. We handle the side that decides whether the week runs smoothly: guest logistics from three continents, airport meet-and-greet in volume, room blocks and villa overflow, convoy movement between venues, cash and jewellery custody, and discreet protection for the families and any high-profile guests on the list. One coordinator holds the whole picture, so nothing falls between the planner, the hotel and the airline.

06 —

Air, road and protection — how movement is planned

Distance is the thing visitors underestimate. Mumbai to Udaipur is a flight, not a drive; Delhi to Jaipur is a road day that can double in the wrong week. We plan around that: scheduled business cabins where they are the sensible answer, private charter through the general-aviation terminals at Mumbai and Delhi where they are not, helicopters for the short hops that would otherwise cost a day, and cars pre-positioned at every end so no leg begins with a search for the driver. See executive transportation and private aviation for how each leg is built.

Private security in India is a licensed industry, regulated under the Private Security Agencies (Regulation) Act, 2005, with agencies licensed state by state. Algoz coordinates exclusively with partners holding current licences in the states an itinerary touches. Protection is unarmed as a rule and quiet by design: advance work, route planning and a competent driver do most of the protecting long before anyone needs an officer at the elbow.

Excellence, Discreetly Delivered

"In India the itinerary is easy to write. Making it survive contact with a Tuesday is the work."

Good to Know

Luxury Concierge in India - Frequently Asked Questions

What does a luxury concierge service in India do?

An India concierge manages the parts of the country that do not take walk-ins: palace suites and private residences, monuments before opening, the hardest tables in Mumbai and Delhi, guides worth the day, chauffeured cars with security-trained drivers, domestic and private aviation, wedding-week logistics and, where the profile calls for it, licensed close protection. Algoz coordinates all of it through one senior contact, available around the clock.

Can you book the palace hotels of Rajasthan?

Yes. Suites at the Rambagh Palace in Jaipur, Umaid Bhawan Palace in Jodhpur and the Taj Lake Palace in Udaipur, along with the Oberoi houses such as Rajvilas and Udaivilas, and tented camps at the edge of Ranthambore for tiger tracking. The season runs October to March and the best rooms are negotiated months ahead, so early notice is worth real money here.

How is Algoz different from other concierge companies in India?

Integration. Most houses arrange access and then subcontract or ignore security. Algoz plans concierge and licensed close protection as a single operation, so the team booking the palace suite also plans the arrival, the route and the officer beside the car. Our comparison page reviews the leading houses by name so clients can judge for themselves.

Can you arrange a bodyguard in Mumbai or New Delhi?

Yes. We coordinate close protection in both cities through agencies licensed under India's Private Security Agencies (Regulation) Act, 2005, matched to a written threat assessment. Standard arrangements take about 48 hours and priority requests about 24. Protection is unarmed as a rule; armed profiles are exceptional, require a minimum 30-day lead time for authorisation and may be refused.

Do you handle Indian wedding logistics?

Yes, alongside the wedding planner rather than in place of one. We take guest logistics from multiple continents, airport meet-and-greet in volume, room blocks and villa overflow, convoy movement between venues, cash and jewellery custody, and discreet protection for the families and high-profile guests. One coordinator holds the whole picture so nothing falls between planner, hotel and airline.

When is the best time to travel in India?

October to March is the classic window for Rajasthan, Mumbai and Delhi: dry days, cool evenings and the festival and wedding calendars in full swing. Kerala and Goa are at their best from November to March. The monsoon months bring green-season rates and empty monuments for travellers who prefer the country without its crowds, and we plan routes around the rain.

Can you arrange private aviation within India?

Yes. We arrange charter and handling through the general-aviation terminals at Mumbai and Delhi and the regional airfields serving Rajasthan, Kerala and Goa, plus helicopters for the short hops that would otherwise cost a day on the road. Where a scheduled business cabin is genuinely the better answer for a leg, we will say so.

Do you work with personal assistants and family offices?

Constantly. Most Indian briefs reach us from EAs, chiefs of staff and family offices rather than the principal directly, and we work at their cadence: one brief, structured confirmations, no surprises, and full confidentiality under NDA from the first message.

How much does a luxury concierge cost in India?

Our model is published: Client Access membership is EUR 95 per month and annual memberships run up to Nobility at EUR 63,000 per year. Licensed close protection starts from USD 900 per day (EUR 850 market base) for a single operative, with teams and armed profiles above the base and quoted to the brief. Concierge programmes are quoted against scope and duration.

Do you cover the rest of South Asia from India?

Yes. India is the largest part of our South Asia coverage, and the same team extends a brief to Sri Lanka, Nepal and Bhutan without a second briefing, keeping one accountable contact across four countries, four currencies and four sets of rules.

Discreet, Integrated, Trusted

Executive concierge with protection woven in in Mumbai.

Assistants, chiefs of staff and family offices arranging a principal’s stay work with one team that handles access, reservations, transport and security together - not a switchboard of separate vendors. Brief us once; we anticipate the rest.

Access is real and discretion is absolute: NDA-backed, OPSEC-aware planning, low-profile delivery, multilingual operatives, and protection that integrates so naturally it is never intrusive. It is why UHNWI and HNWI clients, royal households and the advisors who serve them treat Algoz as a trustworthy single point of contact in Mumbai.
