Cairo

The eternal city, arranged privately.
The Mother of the World

Five millennia, one phone call.

Cairo rewards those who arrive prepared: the Grand Egyptian Museum and the Giza plateau on its doorstep, the storied Marriott Mena House beneath the Pyramids, the medieval lanes of Islamic Cairo, and Luxor a short private flight away. It is one of the world's great capitals — and one that is best experienced with everything decided before you land.

Our clients reach us from New York, Miami and Los Angeles, from Dubai, Moscow and Limassol — UHNWI families, executives, and the personal assistants, executive assistants and family offices who arrange on their behalf. Many are already in Egypt, on the Red Sea in Hurghada, El Gouna or Marsa Alam, deciding to see the Pyramids properly. One brief is enough: private access, Egyptologist guides, executive transportation and discreet close protection are delivered as a single, NDA-backed operation, with English-, Russian- and Arabic-speaking hosts throughout.

01 —

The Grand Egyptian Museum, privately

The GEM is the largest archaeological museum in the world devoted to a single civilisation, home to the complete Tutankhamun collection beside the Giza plateau. We arrange priority entry, a private Egyptologist and unhurried time along the grand staircase and the royal galleries — a visit paced to your family, not to the queue. For collectors and connoisseurs, we brief your guide in advance on the dynasties and pieces that interest you most.

02 —

The Pyramids & the Sphinx, before the world wakes

Ten minutes from the museum, the last of the ancient wonders. We arrange early-morning and after-hours access to the Giza plateau and the Sphinx, private camel or horseback rides across the dunes at first light, and dining with the Pyramids in full view — with low-profile protection alongside you the entire time.

03 —

Saqqara & Dahshur — where the pyramids began

Half an hour beyond Giza, the necropolis where it all started: the Step Pyramid of Djoser — the world's oldest monumental stone building — the painted tombs of the nobles, and at Dahshur the Bent and Red Pyramids, often with barely another visitor in sight. A private Egyptologist reads five dynasties into a single morning, and the desert quiet makes it many guests' favourite day in Egypt.

04 —

Marriott Mena House — the former Mena House Oberoi

Since 1869 the address at the foot of the Pyramids, known to generations of travellers as the Mena House Oberoi and today as Marriott Mena House, Cairo. Most of our clients stay here or at the Nile-side palaces downtown. We arrange pyramid-view suites and garden villas, private in-room dining, spa reservations and a security liaison at the hotel — so the property works around your family's rhythm, not the other way round.

05 —

Old Cairo & Khan el-Khalili

The medieval heart of the city: the Citadel of Saladin, the mosques and madrasas of Al-Muizz Street, Coptic Cairo, and the storied bazaar of Khan el-Khalili. We open it with a private host and constant, discreet security — the finest antique dealers, jewellers and coffee houses arranged in advance, and a route planned so you see the soul of the city without ever feeling the crowd.

06 —

A Pyramids-view dinner at twilight

The finest table in Egypt has a four-and-a-half-thousand-year-old view. As the light turns gold over the plateau, we hold the terraces that face it: Khufu's at sunset, the 9 Pyramids Lounge above the desert, or a private candlelit dinner in the gardens of Mena House with the Great Pyramid rising beyond the palms. Champagne at golden hour, the monuments illuminated as night falls — and for those who wish, the sound-and-light spectacle arranged from a private vantage.

07 —

Luxor in a day, privately

An hour's flight south, the greatest open-air museum on earth. We arrange the full day as one seamless movement: private or first-available flights from Cairo, an Egyptologist through the Valley of the Kings and the tomb of Tutankhamun, Karnak and the Temple of Hatshepsut, lunch on the Nile — and, for those who wish, dawn over the West Bank by hot-air balloon before the first coach arrives.

08 —

From Hurghada, El Gouna & Marsa Alam

Already on the Red Sea? Cairo is closer than it looks. We arrange private day trips to the Pyramids and the Grand Egyptian Museum from Hurghada, El Gouna and Marsa Alam — by private charter or the best scheduled departures, with executive cars and your own guide waiting on the tarmac. Leave after breakfast, stand before Tutankhamun by late morning, and be back at your resort for dinner.

09 —

Executive transportation

Movement in Cairo is its own discipline. We provide executive transportation in luxury and, where required, armoured vehicles — professional security drivers, real-time route planning around the city's traffic, airport meet-and-greet with fast-track formalities at Cairo International, and quiet coordination between hotel, museum, restaurant and airfield so the day simply flows.

10 —

Bodyguards & close protection in Cairo

Discreet personal security is woven into everything above, or engaged on its own: multilingual close-protection officers — English- and Russian-speaking on request — armed or unarmed in full compliance with Egyptian regulations, drawn from former elite law-enforcement and military backgrounds. From a single bodyguard for a museum day to a full protective detail for a family week, the presence is professional, cultural and near-invisible.

VIP Concierge in Cairo — Frequently Asked Questions

Can you arrange a private tour of the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM)?

Yes. Priority entry, a private Egyptologist and unhurried time in the Tutankhamun galleries and along the grand staircase — paced to you, away from the groups. We brief your guide in advance on the periods and pieces that interest you most.

Is the Marriott Mena House the same hotel as the Mena House Oberoi?

Yes — it is the same historic 1869 property at the foot of the Pyramids. It was known for decades as the Mena House Oberoi and is today the Marriott Mena House, Cairo. We arrange pyramid-view suites, villas and a security liaison at the hotel, where many of our clients stay.

Can we visit Cairo for the day from Hurghada or Marsa Alam?

Yes. We arrange private day trips to the Pyramids and the Grand Egyptian Museum from Hurghada, El Gouna and Marsa Alam — by private charter or the best scheduled flights, with executive cars and a private guide waiting. You are back at your resort the same evening.

Is Cairo safe for VIP travellers?

With the right arrangements, yes. We combine executive transportation, professional security drivers, planned routes and licensed close-protection officers — armed or unarmed in compliance with Egyptian regulations — so your family moves through the city discreetly and comfortably.

Do you have Russian-speaking guides and security personnel?

Yes. Russian-speaking hosts, Egyptologist guides and close-protection officers are available on request, alongside English and Arabic — our team regularly serves Russian-speaking families based in Dubai, Limassol, Moscow and across the Gulf.

Can you arrange a private day trip to Luxor?

Yes. Flights from Cairo, a private Egyptologist through the Valley of the Kings, Karnak and the Temple of Hatshepsut, lunch on the Nile, and an optional dawn hot-air balloon over the West Bank — all as one escorted day.

I am a personal assistant arranging this for a principal. How does it work?

Send us one brief — dates, party size, interests and any security requirements. We reply with a single confidential itinerary covering access, hotels, executive transport and protection, one point of contact throughout, and NDA cover as standard. Assistants and family offices arrange most of our Cairo programmes.
