Turkey regulates private security under Law No. 5188: every özel güvenlik görevlisi must hold a valid licence and identity card, issued and overseen by the provincial governorate. A licence card proves compliance and nothing about judgement, which is why we have spent years filtering the Istanbul market and retain only the firms that meet our standard. Protection is unarmed as a rule; armed cover is a narrow regulated exception requiring a minimum 30-day lead time for authorisation, which may be refused.
