Bodyguard in Brussels
The EU Quarter, the Louise district and beyond.
Brussels is unlike any other European capital. It is the seat of the European Union, the European Commission and Council, and the political home of NATO — a city of commissioners, diplomats, lobbyists, delegations and the international press. That institutional density brings summits, demonstrations and politically motivated attention in continuous rotation, alongside the ordinary risks of a busy capital: professional pickpocketing around Brussels-Midi and the Grand-Place, and high-value targeting in the Louise luxury district.
Algoz provides bodyguard services in Brussels through a vetted network of operatives licensed under the Belgian private-security law of 2 October 2017 and vetted by the FPS Interior. Every detail runs under NDA, coordinated from a single English-speaking point of contact who knows the European Quarter, the venues and the Belgian legal requirements in detail.
Specific, well-documented risks.
EU & NATO Exposure
The European Quarter concentrates institutions, missions and summits. Principals connected to the EU, NATO or member-state delegations attract politically motivated attention that few other cities generate.
Demonstrations & Disruption
Brussels is Europe’s protest capital. Farmer, labour and political demonstrations regularly converge on the Schuman and Luxembourg areas, disrupting movement and exposing high-profile visitors.
Station & Tourist Theft
Brussels-Midi, the Grand-Place and the metro see professional pickpocketing and distraction theft aimed at visitors carrying watches, cash and devices.
Executive & Family Office
Board meetings, lobbying and family-office visits call for counter-surveillance, secure transport and low-profile escort in a camera-dense, compact city.
Configured for each principal.

Why Brussels close protection must be licensed.
Personal protection in Belgium is governed by the Law of 2 October 2017 on private and particular security. It is delivered only through licensed security companies whose operatives hold an identification card issued and vetted by the FPS Interior (Directorate Private Security / Vigilis). An unlicensed individual — including a foreign operative without Belgian authorisation — cannot lawfully carry out close protection in Brussels.
Armed private protection is tightly restricted and permitted only in specific, authorised high-risk cases; the overwhelming majority of Brussels details are professional, unarmed and low-profile. Algoz coordinates every Brussels assignment exclusively through this licensed framework, briefed under NDA and compliant with Belgian and EU law throughout.
Close protection across BelgiumThe moments that specifically require protection in Brussels.
EU summits and Council meetings raise the security temperature for anyone connected to the institutions, as do official visits and high-level negotiations. Arrival through Zaventem or Brussels-Midi — where principals moving to a vehicle are routinely observed — is a specific exposure point, as is the Eurostar corridor from London and Paris. Major demonstrations around Schuman and Place du Luxembourg can disrupt movement at short notice.
Outside the institutional calendar, visiting HNWIs and executives benefit from at minimum a low-profile close-protection escort in the Louise district and the European Quarter, even on shorter stays.
